I'm returning to Chief Ribauld and Maggie for a couple days to wrap that up (if only temporarily) before the story will move onward. I have officially changed the title of the comic to "The Super Peoples!" because I have not reached the "Hammer of God" portion of the story and, the way the plot is mapped out to me right now, won't for several more months. So I've gotten tired of seeing that old title when it didn't apply as much. If you are unaware, the Hammer of God portion of the story was actually partially written a while ago, and the art style was different. I put the comic off for a while and ruminated on it and when I returned, I had developed a different art style and decided on a different story direction. And there is alot of plot stuff that I have in mind and I just don't want to move onto the Hammer of God stuff before it. Thanks for understanding. And thanks always for your support!

January 19 2006

hey, sorry. I know that I normally applaud Mr. Straub's comic genius but I feel especially obligated here. This cartoon is bang-on. Both subtle and outrightly hilarious; simply hilarious. Of course, I did see Hostel last night so that helped. But bravo, Mr. Straub. I know I mentioned it befor, but I think this Blamimation is good step toward the future and I look foreward to more with great anticipation.

Also of note is the interesting service for putting webcomics on your iPod.

January 04 2005

Mr. Kurtz and Mr. Straub apparently are buddies (well, they are in my mind where all the famous people I admire are really friends, like the Justice League or something) and so, they've been working together to create new flash animations which they are calling Blamimation or something like that, and they're just fantastic. If ever there was a valuable meeting of the minds, this is it. Two fertile comedic geniuses coming together to create something really funny, is just great. Seems that they're excited about this project and the community is really jazzed too so maybe this will be some new ground that can forged. I'm not wholly certain that I whould want to venture into this field, it was very difficult to get me going even on the webcomic. However, I think there is a lot of promise here and animating Superpeoples whould be a very interesting possibility.

January 01 2005

Happy New Year! The road goes ever onward, as they say....Also, new Checkerboard Nightmare, in which Mr. Straub pokes fun at Modern Tales - a site that I abhor.
Well, I probably shouldn't but I'm going to take this "opportunity" to complain, like always. Its ok though cause my opinions don't really matter as much, so you can ignore me completely if you don't agree. Eric, of Radioactive Panda, has taken to complaining about Mr. Kurtz, and I almost feel obligated to stand up for Mr. Kurtz, not that he needs my help. Well, on the other hand, Mr. Kurtz seems to almost invite these battles; he's just as opinioned as everyone else. Anyway, Eric contends that Mr. Kurtz is out of line, and that Mr. Kurtz is doing nothing to improve his style etc. To me, though, Mr. Kurtz just has his style. You know, whatever works for you. So - in defense of Mr. Kurtz's non-improvement - Mr. Kurtz doesn't have to improve his style, its not like the comic is stagnateing. A portion of webcomics is in text, for sure, and as long as Mr. Kurtz's comics are entertaining to read the style doesn't have to change. I really can't contend that Mr. Kurtz isn't an ass, though, but I will say that he's not any better or any worse than most people. He's an ass, but so are the rest of us.

December 27 2005 pt. 2

Amazingly, Mr. Straub responded to me again! I'm really elated that he offered such encouraging words to me and means alot to me. I don't know, its really encouraging that someone that high up on the webcomics ladder whould take time out for me. Further, its really nice to hear such things when stupid fucking Keenspace co. decides that all the keenspace.com domains need to go away and I have hassle with adjusting all my page code so that it conforms to the new comicgenesis domain. So like, if you're links are suddenly broken and/or the page looks odd, I'm sorry and I'm working on it as fast as I can. I hope the page survives the new year in one piece. Thanks Mr. Straub.
